Greta and Zach's New Years Eve micro wedding was the perfect mix of family, faith, and whimsy. They chose Shenandoah Caverns as their venue, with a select group of family and friends. What's a more unique way to celebrate NYE than a cave wedding surrounded by the ones you love most?
The caverns staff escorted guests down the stairs to the entrance and along the path to the ceremony. There are several spots to hold a wedding inside the caverns, but the couple chose a cozy room with just enough space for some chairs, the wedding party, and the bride and groom. Greta and Zach exchanged emotional, heartfelt vows, enjoyed readings from Greta’s sister and the best man, and were officiated by their pastor.
Upstairs in the caverns cafe, appetizers accompanied sparkling cider during the speeches and toasts. The groom's brother, stationed out of town and unable to attend, shared some words with the couple during a tearful FaceTime call. The reception ended with a cake-cutting and time spent mingling with friends.
