Cricket Chirp Farm Summer Wedding
Emily + Aaron
Emily and Aaron wanted a small, laidback wedding with documentary-style photos. A fun-loving couple who valued quality time with their loved ones over taking endless portraits, I could tell this suited their vibe perfectly.
They chose the perfect venue for a quaint outdoor wedding. Cricket Chirp Farm is a cozy little gem of a wedding venue. From the moment you step onto the property, you're enveloped in a sense of charm and tranquility that sets the stage for a truly magical celebration. This family-owned venue, located in McGaheysville, Virginia, is just a short drive from Harrisonburg and about two hours outside of Washington, DC. Nestled in the Shenandoah Valley, the property boasts spectacular mountain views from the outdoor ceremony area.

The Details
Personal touches were all around, from cherished photos of the couple to the florals which were handmade by Emily, and a family crest used in lieu of a guestbook.

Pre-Ceremony
The bride and groom dressing areas, along with cocktail hour, were held inside the owners' gorgeous Victorian house.

Ceremony + Reception
The century-old greenhouse was the backdrop of a picturesque ceremony, followed by a catered BBQ meal in the beautiful open-air reception area.
